Image of Mr. C. R. (Clayton Rhay) Denmark sitting in an office. Mr. Denmark, an engineer for the United States National Museum, was in charge of a force of mechanics who maintained and repaired equipment. He worked at the Smithsonian from 1909 to 1940. He received his B.S. in 1907 from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
