Image of the 168-carat emerald, bequeathed by Anna Cast Mackay to the Smithsonian Institution National Gem Collection, in 1984. The stunning Mackay Emerald was mined in Muzo, Colombia, and was placed on display in the National Museum of Natural History's Gem Hall.
