Summary

The Independence Avenue Lobby of the new National Air and Space Museum is opened to the general public during visiting hours. The Milestones of Flight Gallery, which includes the Wright Brothers' Aeroplane, the Spirit of St. Louis, the Apollo 11 Command Module, the Bell X-1, and John Glenn's Mercury space capsule, can be viewed.
