Summary

Letter from Joseph Henry, first Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution, to Joseph K. Barnes, Surgeon General of the United States Army, January 14, 1869. In the letter, Henry asks Barnes if it would be possible to exchange some physiological artifacts in the Smithsonian's posession for some anthropological artifacts in the Army Medical Museum's posession.
