Summary

Letter from Joseph Henry, first Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution, to Dr. Thomas Hun, a physician and community leader from Albany, New York, who had been a classmate of Henry's at the Albany Academy. In the February 24, 1869, letter, Henry asks that Hun consider having Dr. F. G. Lemercier deliver his lecture on anatomy and physiology in Albany. He also informs Hun of the transfer of the Smithsonian Institution Library's holdings to the Library of Congress.
