Waitress Kim Dempsey serves sundaes to Smithsonian employees from Office of Public Affairs - Ink Mendelsohn, Rachel Sears, Karl Ferron, Sylvia Cahill - in the Ice Cream Parlor in the National Museum of American History. In 1981, an exhibit was installed that included this fully functioning turn-of-the-century ice cream parlor. This photo was featured on the front page of the "Torch" Number 81-8, August 1981.
