Summary

The Friends of the National Zoo (FONZ) take over operation of all food services at the Zoo, and announce that emphasis will be on popular fast food items. It is also announced that all seating and service areas were to be renovated, and mobile carts and kiosks would be spread throughout the Park to serve refreshments. Revenue from the food service operations will be used by FONZ to support education, research, and conservation programs at the Zoo.
