Eugene A. Schwarz (1844 - 1928), was an entomologist who, in 1878, obtained a post with the Department of Agriculture, a function he kept until his death in 1928. He was stationed throughout his career at the Smithsonian Institution's Division of Insects, United States National Museum, now the National Museum of Natural History, and played an important role in the organization of its insect collections.
