A group of scientists at the Canal Zone Biological Area, Barro Colorado Island, Panama, pose in front of Bombacopsis fendleni or "spiny cedar." Some are holding pieces of scientific equipment. The tree usually grows with a massive trunk. On the back of the image are the words "cedro espinosa," which means spiny cedar.
