Bea Wetmore, Smithsonian Secretary Alexander Wetmore's second wife, stands on a dock at Juan Mina, in the Canal Zone, Province of Colon, Panama. The dock has a roof over it. Two boats are tied up beside the dock. The image was taken by sixth Smithsonian Secretary and ornithologist, Alexander Wetmore, while on one of his many scientific expeditions to the country.
