Summary

At Mandinga, San Blas, Armagedón Hartmann holds a branch of a tree where the nest of a lepidopyga (genus of hummingbird) has been built. The image was taken by Smithsonian Secretary and ornithologist Alexander Wetmore while on an ornithological expedition to Panama. Hartmann worked as a field guide for Wetmore on many of his expeditions.
