Physical and Chemical Geology Exhibit at the Conference on the Future of the Smithsonian, February 11, 1927, with George P. To his left is the Vertebrate Paleontology Exhibit. The exhibits were located in the Smithsonian Institution Building or "Castle." Merrill was a geologist and head curator of the Department of Geology, United States National Museum from 1917-1929.
