Summary

Exhibit label used at the Minneapolis Industrial Exposition of 1887 for the United States National Museum Department of Metallurgy's exhibit of some of the most famous Australian gold nuggets. In 1887, Congress authorized "several Executive Departments to lend certain articles to the Minneapolis Industrial Exposition from various Departments of the United States Government."
