Summary

The Smithsonian's Women's Council presents a report to the SI Executive Committee suggesting that an expert in child care program development be hired as the Institution's child care coordinator, to develop a summer education program for the children of staff, establish a referral service and information center through which employees could obtain help in finding emergency and long-term care for children, and "evaluate the need and possibilities for a year-round pre-school program for employees' children."
