Interior view of the mess room aboard the ship The Albatross. The mess room features a table with seven chairs, a low hanging chandelier, and a leather couch seen on the right side of the image. The Albatross is the first example of Edison's electricity on a ship. Smithsonian Institution scientists traveled aboard the Albatross on scientific expeditions. The ship has a fully functioning science lab.
