Photograph of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Dodson, owners of the house Smithsonian Secretary Alexander Wetmore lived in while in Panama. The image was taken by Wetmore on March 11, 1951, during an ornithological expedition to Panama. Mr. Dodson is crouched down in the doorway with a small dog, while his wife stands nearby. Beyond the house in the right background, the mountainous valleys of Panama can be seen.
