The Southern Railroad car arrives at the new Museum of History and Technology, now the National Museum of American History. The car arrives while the museum is still under construction. Looking out though the unfinished Railroad Hall, the Southern Railroad car can be seen on tracks which have been laid into the hall, and some workmen are to the right of the train. In the background the dome and the west side of the National Museum of Natural History Building are visible.
