First Contemporary Sculpture on the Mall

PrintThe first contemporary sculpture on the National Mall, and the largest piece of contemporary sculpture ever commissioned by the Federal government, "Infinity," is installed on the South Terrace of the Museum of History and Technology. Sculptured by Jose de Rivera, the stainless steel composition measures 16 feet long and 8 feet high.
