Summary

  • Anne Van Camp is appointed Director of Smithsonian Institution Archives. Previously she served as Director of Member Program for the Research Libraries Group, Inc., from 1996-2007, and as Director of Archives at the Hoover Institution on War, Revolution, and Peace at Stanford University. She was named Fellow of the Society of American Archivists in 1994. She received the B.A. and M.A. in American History from the University of Cincinnati.
  • Tom Soapes, Acting Director of SI Archives since 2005, retired from federal service at the end of March 2007.
