Summary

Betty J. Morgan is appointed Assistant Treasurer in 1966 and serves until 1968, when T. Ames Wheeler is appointed Treasurer. She was preceded by Edgar L. Roy, who served as treasurer from 1960 to 1964, and Otis O. Martin, who was Treasurer in 1965. The Smithsonian Treasurer is responsible for the non-federal funds of the Institution. Morgan is one of the early women managers at the Smithsonian.
