Summary

The dress of Martha Washington is in the process of restoration. An area badly in need of professional restoration can be seen at the elbow of the dress. Here, the dress is being examined by a professional conservator, Mrs. Sara Taft. The gown is part of the First Ladies Collection at the National Museum of American History.
