Summary

Construction of the Earl Silas Tupper Research and Conference Center (two buildings in foreground) at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in Panama is two-thirds complete. The facility will house specialized laboratories and office facilities for scientists and visiting scholars and will include a 150-seat auditorium. Expected completion date is March 1989.
