From left to right: Sakikawa, Sunagawa and Edward P. Henderson seated at a table inspecting diamonds. Under an agreement with the Japanese Minister of Finance Isamu Matsunaga, Henderson went to Japan to judge and appraise with experts 7,000 carats of diamonds. Henderson (1898-1992) was mineral science curator at the National Museum of Natural History.
