Summary

From the mid-1950s to the late 1980s, new facilities and exhibitions are opened at the National Zoological Park: the Great Flight Cage, the Giant Panda House, the General Services Building, the Great Ape House, the Mann Lion/Tiger Exhibit (May 1976), Monkey Island (1982-83), Gibbon Ridge (1988), the Honey Bees Exhibit (1989), and the Wetlands Habitat (1989).
