Photograph, taken on a spring day, of one of the new Smithsonian owlets who fell out of a tower of the Smithsonian Institution Building, the "Castle". Richard L. Ault recaptured the bird and brought him back into the Castle. The owl, perched on a desk, is shown hard at work.
