The Center Market, on B Street, now Constitution Avenue, north of the new United States National Museum Building, now the National Museum of Natural History. Boxes containing produce are on the brick paved sidewalk next to the wrought iron fence of the Museum and empty barrels are scattered around. A horse drawn wagon, shoppers and vendors are in the background. The marketplace was removed soon after.
