Summary

At a special exhibit entitled "Return to the Sea," visitors stand before display units, some of which are mechanically operated. The exhibit highlights career opportunities in the fields of oceanography and ocean engineering. Visitors also learn how the sea is being studied for new, as yet unexploited, benefits to mankind. The exhibit, which opened February 19, 1964, is part of the National Museum of Natural History's Hall of Life in the Sea.
