An exhibit of early big game hunters of the Black Hills is on display in the North American Archeology Exhibit, which opened in November 1962, in the National Museum of Natural History. The exhibit case contains tools and photographs from the Black Hills of southwestern South Dakota and northeastern Wyoming, which were a favorite camping and wintering ground for the mounted bison-hunting Indians.
