Summary

Illustration (see Appendix) in "A Handbook to the National Museum under the direction of the Smithsonian Institution, Washington" is of the Troemner Balance, which is in the Guide Book with the following statement next to it: "While no example of the Troemner Balance is at present found at the museum, the visitor may inspect them at the Treasury Department."
