Summary

Office of Plant Services painters Dwight Lupo, left, and William Sales put finishing touches on the antique elevator that they renovated near the Smithsonian Institution Building's Mall entrance. The quaint little elevator near the north entrance of the building--the one that looks as if it used to belong in a 19th-century Parisian pension--is now elegantly restored to its original splendor. The lift got a face lift, from gleaming brass panels to filigree.
