Summary

This photographic print features a drawing of two bison grazing in the South Yard with the Smithsonian Institution Building in the background. The caption "Almost the last of their race" is sketched below the buffalo. The artist and date are unknown though it was first printed in a Washington newspaper sometime between 1887 and 1900.
