Summary

The Power Machinery Hall opened in 1957 in the Arts and Industries Building. This photo shows, from left to right, a John Stevens marine boiler (1804); a group of boiler models in wall cases; a large photo mural of 1400 hp Corliss engine from the Centennial Exposition in 1876; a Corliss beam pumping engine, c. 1880; a horizontal slide valve steam engine (1864); and a John Stevens boat engine (1804).
