This accession consists of records that document the administrative activities of David J. Skorton during his final months as Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution (January-June 2019), and the records of Lonnie G. Bunch, Secretary (June-December 2019). The records document issues with regard to the Institution's museums, exhibitions, research, fundraising, programs, and special events. Materials include correspondence, memorandum, and notes; reports; agreements; budget summaries; speech papers; information about personnel management, strategic planning, publications, Board of Regents, professional associations; awards, gifts, committees, museum advisory boards, government agencies, and meetings; photographs; brochures; invitations; and newsletters. Listings in bold indicate both the topic of folder contents and major subheadings from the Secretary's office file plan.
