This accession consists of the exhibition records of Elizabeth Broun, Director, Smithsonian American Art Museum (SAAM), 1989-2016. Museum exhibits took place at both SAAM and the Renwick Gallery. Particularly well documented is the exhibit "Albert Pinkham Ryder." Some materials date to when Broun was the Chief Curator and Assistant Director, as well as from when the museum was known as the National Museum of American Art and the National Collection of Fine Arts. Materials include correspondence, memoranda, exhibit schedules, exhibit guidelines, floor plans, brochures, images, educational guides, symposium records, proposals, press kits, brochures, clippings, and other related records.
