Summary

This accession consists of the correspondence and memoranda of Elizabeth Broun, Director, 1989-2016 documenting the administration of the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Renwick Gallery, its programs, projects, acquisitions, and exhibitions. Some materials date to when Broun was Chief Curator and Assistant Director of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, as well as from when the museum was known as the National Museum of American Art. Materials include correspondence and memoranda.
