Written by Brandon Brame Fortune, Wendy Wick Reaves, David C. Ward, Patricia Quealy, and John Asbery, the publication is a reassessment of the reinvention of portraiture in America between 1945 and 1975, the period when the abstract expressionists reached international prominence. The second publication is "Eye to I: Self-Portraits from the National Portrait Gallery," is the exhibit catalog for the exhibit of the same name. It was edited by Rhys Conlon and Sarah McGavran and features entries on key self-portraits in the museum's collection. The entries explore how American artists have portrayed themselves since 1900.
