Summary:

This accession consists of three websites maintained by the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center (SERC). The primary SERC website was crawled on March 18, 2020. It includes information about SERC's mission, facilities, research, environmental education programs, and citizen science programs. It also includes data sets and other digital resources. Due to technical issues, some data sets as well as digital objects that were physically located on other servers may not be included in this accession. "Ecosystems on the Edge" was crawled on March 18, 2020. It provides information about ecosystems that are literally and figuratively on the edge as well as information on how to protect them. Due to technical issues, some images and video content may be missing from this accession. "SERC Animal Tracking Studies" was crawled on November 7, 2019. It provides information to individuals who capture blue crabs (Callinectes) with tags attached by SERC. This web crawl is an accurate representation of the live website at the time it was crawled, including a significant number of broken links and the appearance of missing content. Materials are in electronic format.
