This accession consists of the Twitter account of the Consortium for the Barcode of Life (CBOL) as it existed on July 10, 2019. CBOL is an international initiative devoted to developing DNA barcoding as a global standard for the identification of biological species since 2004. The CBOL Secretariat operates from the National Museum of Natural History. Twitter is a microblog that CBOL used to post links to professional opportunities as well as to publicize events and research. The CBOL account has been inactive since August 2015. Materials are in electronic format.
