This accession consists of the Field Book Project blog as it existed on December 29, 2018. The Field Book Project began as a joint initiative between the National Museum of Natural History and the Smithsonian Institution Archives to create a single online location for scholars and others to visit when searching for field books and other field research materials. It is currently administered by the Smithsonian Libraries, Biodiversity Heritage Library. The blog, established in March 2011, highlights materials found while cataloging the materials and provides context for their creation. It was last updated in December 2017. Materials are in electronic format.
