This accession consists of publications of the American Ornithological Society (AOS) and its predecessors, the American Ornithologists' Union (AOU) and the Cooper Ornithological Society (COS). The American Ornithological Society formed in 2016 when AOU and COS joined together. Publications include "The Auk," a supplement to the "Check-list of North American Birds," and a program and exhibition catalog for an annual meeting.
