Descriptive Entry
This accession consists of records created and maintained by Valerie Neal, Curator, pertaining to the design, development, execution, and installation of the exhibition "Where Next, Columbus?." The exhibition marked the quincentenary of Christopher Columbus's voyage and considers the possibilities for future space exploration. Some records date to when the department was known as the Department of Space History from (1987-1996), the Department of Space Science and Exploration (1980-1986), and the Department of Astronautics (1975-1980). Materials include correspondence, books, notes, proposals, memoranda, floor plans, agendas, drawings, newspaper clippings, negatives, fund raising materials, brochures, reports, scripts, charts, illustrations, photographs, slides, transparencies, and related materials.
