Finding Aids to Official Records of the Smithsonian Institution Archives
Smithsonian Institution. Office of the Under Secretary for Museums, Education, and Research/Provost
Website Records, 2018
This accession consists of the "Provenance in the World War II Era, 1933-1945" website as it existed on April 16, 2018. The website both provides and seeks information about World War II era collections. It provides access to searchable databases as well as resources about cultural property provenance research. The website was maintained by the Office of the Under Secretary for History, Art, and Culture until shortly before this crawl, when the unit merged into the Office of the Under Secretary for Museums, Education, and Research/Provost. The crawl was also performed shortly before the website was to be redesigned.
This accession also includes an incomplete set of files transferred directly from the web server as well as a spreadsheet containing the searchable data made accessible via the website.
Materials are in electronic format.
