Summary

Dr. Lewis Richard Koller (1895-1993), research physicist, General Electric Research Laboratory, with the daylight recorder developed for Italian aviator and explorer Umberto Nobile (1885-1978) to use in recording daylight in his proposed dirigible trip over the North Pole. The giant photoelectric cell at the top is the sensitive eye of the apparatus.
