Descriptive Entry
This accession consists of records created and maintained by Dorothy Cochrane, Curator, documenting exhibition planning, development, production, updating, and related activities for the National Air and Space Museum and the Steven F. Udvar Hazy Center, and to a lesser extent collections management. Also represented in these records, which date back to when the Aeronautics Department was respectively known as the Aeronautics Division and the Department of Aeronautics, are curators Claudia M. Oaks, Russell Lee, Richard A. Leyes, R. E. G. Davies, Tom D. Crouch, and Von Hardesty. Materials include correspondence, memoranda, and notes; proposals; budget summaries; loan information; meeting agendas; scripts; floor plans and designs; object lists; press releases and articles; photographs, slides, and negatives; symposium and lecture information; press kit; drawings; and supporting documentation.
