Summary

  • James Gashel, chief of the Washington office of the National Federation of the Blind, uses new paperless braille reading machine in the "Benefits from Flight" gallery at the National Air and Space Museum (NASM).
  • From Torch article: "The device stores information on a standard cassette and displays that information in braille on demand. The electronically encoded messages on the cassette tape are sent to a series of 12 braille cells on the outside of the machine.
