Arthur Scott King (1876-1957), astronomer, Mt. Wilson Observatory. King is standing next to "an electric furnace capable of producing heat of 700 degrees Fahrenheit." The photograph was supplied to Science Service by Charles King of the "Pasadena Post," August 13, 1931.
