The University of Pittsburgh Team that is Working Towards the Synthesis of Insulin

Katsoyannis, Associate Professor of Biochemistry, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Fukuda was later in the Department of Applied Chemistry and Biochemical Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering, Shizuoka University, Hamamatsu, Japan. Tometsko and Katsoyannis were later at the Division of Biochemistry, Medical Research Center, Brookhaven National Laboratory, Upton, New York. The University of Pittsburgh team was one of the first groups to synthesize insulin.
