Visit of Queen Elizabeth II to the Smithsonian Institution

Summary

Chief Justice Warren Burger reads and presents to the Queen a Joint Resolution of Congress expressing to Her Majesty the appreciation of the people of the United States for the bequest of James Smithson, in the Associates' Lounge of the Smithsonian Institution Building, or Castle, during her visit to the United States to commemorate the Bicentennial of the American Revolution, with Secretary S. Dillon Ripley and Vice President Nelson Rockefeller.
