Descriptive Entry
This accession consists of records created and maintained by Curator Allan A. Needell documenting the planning and execution of the exhibition "Twenty-five Years of Space Exploration" and the associated symposium. The exhibition ran from 1982 through 1983 at the National Air and Space Museum and was then transformed into a traveling exhibition for the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service. Materials include correspondence, memoranda, scripts, object lists, press releases, clippings, manuscripts, transcripts, and related materials. Prior to 1987, the unit was known as the Department of Space Science and Exploration.
