Note stating that Viola S. Schantz is to be honored at tea by the American Society Of Mammalogists at their annual meeting on June 14, 1962. Viola Shelly Schantz (1895-1977) served as a Biological Aide, Biologist and Systematic Zoologist for the United States Fish and Wildlife Service from 1918 to 1961. Stationed at the Smithsonian throughout her career, she also served as the curator for the North American mammal collection in the National Museum of Natural History.
